Congrats all SAVE members and sponsors!!! You have done a great job working to stop vandalism. We have been awarded three prestigious awards from Youth Crime Watch of America:

S.A.V.E.
S.A.V.E. (Students Against Vandalism Everywhere) is part of a larger organization called Youth Crime Watch of America (YCWA). We are part of the Rhode Island division or Third Eye division of YCWA and our group of dedicated students has made a difference in the community of Coventry, Rhode Island. Started by a 7th grade student in middle school, our group is growing and fighting back against vandals. We truly are working hard to make our school and community a better place to live in.
What is Vandalism?
Vandalism- action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property. This disrespectful and punishable act continues to affect people everyday. Examples of vandalism include mailbox smashing, egging cars or buildings, breaking gravestones, graffiti, A.T.V. erosion and pulling a false fire alarm. Most vandalism occurs at nighttime when no one is around. This crime makes the community look like a dangerous and scary place to live.
You see it everyday! You're walking down the road, driving in a car or riding a bike. Then you see it. Something is on the ground. It's a smashed mailbox. The metal frame is bent and the wooden post now looks like a pile of toothpicks. Mailboxes cost atleast $100.00 unless they are homemade. The person who destroyed this piece of property just wasted $100.00 that could have gone towards a good cause. Instead it must be used to repair/replace this important piece of property.

Our Mission
Our mission is to stop vandalism and crime and ultimately make the world a better place. We've worked hard to spread this message to all people and hope that our actions will be affective. If you know someone that vandalizes please try to guide them towards other sources of entertainment. Try to spread the message and start an anti-vandalism group yourself! Remember, one person can make a huge difference.
